When pairing fails, please walk through the following instructions to troubleshoot.

1.Please make sure that you have entered the correct WiFi SSID and password.

2.Check if your router settings are OK.

In case that device only goes online by connecting to a mobile hotspot,  it means your router is the cause of failure in connecting to internet.

You need to follow the steps below to fix the problem.

  • Disable
  • Disable firewall, whitelist filter, Mac address filter, AP isolation and any other function that may disable the connection between devices on local area network
  • Enable DHCP
  • Please select 'Auto' for authentication type and encryption standard.

Additionally, please place your smartphone and the smart device close to the router. Leave enough band width for the device. Too many devices connecting to the same

WiFi will force some devices to go offline.

3. When your connection to internet is not available, please wait until your internet service provider resumes service.

How to pair a GSM device

Compared to WiFi device, it is much easier to pair a GSM device. Follow the instructions below to add a GSM device.

1.  Open eWeLink app and tap '+' button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Tap 'Scan QR code'

3. Align the frame in eWeLink app with the QR code on the sticker on the device or package.

4. Wait until the device is online and the pairing is completed.

Note:If you are getting an error that device has been added by another user, please delete the device in the old account before pairing it again. If the device refuses to go online after being added, please check the signal strength of your SIM card or check if there are enough data in your SIM card.
