Home Sharing Upgraded: Added "Set Role" Feature

Home Sharing allows you to securely share access to your home devices and scenes with family members and friends. Now with the eWeLink App V5.0, by setting up separate roles, you can quickly grant control and select whether or not the access is permanent.

Guest Role

Looking to provide temporary access? Check out the new Guest role. Here, you can set a time limit for access to your home. No need to remember to revoke privileges once the visit is over - access expires automatically based on your settings!

Member Role

For granting long term access, set the user as Member. As a Member, users have permanent access and control with no access expiration, ensuring that the assigned individual can control the devices and manual scenes at any time.

Edit Role at anytime

It's worth noting that you have the flexibility to switch roles between shared users, allowing for seamless adjustments to access privileges.

How to Unlock the "Guest" Role

To set the "Guest" role, an eWeLink Advanced Plan subscription is required. In addition to the Guest role, you will enjoy expanded Home Sharing benefits, including the ability to create 10 homes and share 10 homes, with each home shareable with up to 10 people. Compare this to general users who can only create 5 homes, share 5 homes, and share each home with 5 people maximum.
