How to Get Your Matter Devices Back Online?

When you have issues with Matter-compatible devices showing as offline, no more worries - refer to the following troubleshooting steps.

First of all, make sure your device is powered on. If your device is not even plugged-in, it doesn't work, or isn't able to connect to the WiFi network.

Next, check the WiFi connection. Please confirm both the Matter device and the Matter hub are connected to the stable WiFi network. If the WiFi is spotty or disconnected, the devices may struggle to stay connected. Therefore, be sure the router is connected to the Internet. Then try moving the device closer to the router or consider some ways to improve your WiFi coverage.

Also, confirm whether both Matter-supported devices and Matter hub are in the same LAN. It's important that the Matter device and hub are on the same local network as if they are not, they won't be able to communicate.

Finally, if still no luck, try resetting it. Follow the instructions in the user manual to reset your Matter smart home devices and then add it to the App again.

With good power, solid WiFi, proper LAN configuration, and finally a reset, you should be able to get those offline Matter devices back up and running. Just take it step-by-step and be patient as you work through any connectivity issues.
