What's New in eWeLink App V5.3
As smart home technology rapidly evolves, eWeLink continues to push the envelope, offering enhanced functionality and an enriched user experience in its latest update, V5.3. This version brings a suite of innovative features, each meticulously designed to streamline your smart home experience. Let's explore these exciting updates and discover how they can transform your daily life.
Support for Adding Matter Bridge
eWeLink App's newest update, V5.3, now supports adding Matter bridge, broadening device compatibility like never before. This feature is a game-changer for those looking to expand their smart home ecosystem without breaking the bank. By using a Matter bridge, you can easily incorporate non-Matter devices into your setup, offering a cost-effective way to enhance your smart home.
With Matter bridge, you can seamlessly manage other non-eWeLink plugs or Matter lights, by adding them to the eWeLink App for unified control. This ensures a smoother smart home application experience. For example, you can use the Matter bridge as an intermediary to connect Zigbee, Z-Wave, and Bluetooth plugs, or Matter lights to the Matter Network, and effortlessly manage these devices through the eWeLink App as a unified platform.
Note: To add the Matter bridge in the eWeLink App, ensure your NSPanel Pro is updated to version 2.4 or above.
Create Scenes with Matter Lights
Building on the previous version's support for Matter lights with dimmable, cool-warm, and colorful capabilities, V5.3 takes it a step further. Now, you can craft personalized scenes using Matter lights, adding a new dimension of customization and great ambiance to your space.
Customize Your Insight Sections
eWeLink app V5.3 enhances user experience by allowing customization of Insight sections. Previously, the sections in Insight were fixed, but now users can choose which sections to display and arrange them. Gone are the days of a one-size-fits-all approach; you can now select and organize sections to suit your unique needs. Insight includes five sections:
- Home Ambience: Connects to temperature and humidity devices for real-time monitoring.
- Live Video: Adds security cameras to monitor the home environment in real-time, enabling monitoring of up to three different cameras.
- Devices On: Provides a clear overview of which devices are currently on, such as switches, plugs, air conditioners, fans, lights, etc.
- Energy Dashboard: Track and manage the energy usage of devices, with options to view consumption by group, weekly, and monthly.
- Presence Simulation: Randomly turns on/off devices like lights to simulate presence at home, enhancing security.
Exclude Specific Devices in Devices On Section
To cater to personalized user needs, the eWeLink app V5.3 allows users to exclude specific devices in the "Devices On" sections in Insight. This means that when using the "All Off" feature, these devices will not be turned off, perfect for devices that need to be on 24/7, like certain security or infrastructure devices.
Extend Date Range for Trigger Conditions
For those who love planning ahead, the new update extends the time range for "Time of Day" trigger conditions in scene settings from 3 months to a full year, offering unparalleled flexibility for your long-term smart home strategies.
In summary, these updates to the eWeLink App V5.3 significantly enhance the flexibility and user-friendliness of smart home systems, making it more convenient and efficient to manage and customize a smart home environment.
eWeLink App version 5.3 has been submitted to the Google Play Store and it will be accessible gradually. iOS users can anticipate the release by the end of January. Stay tuned for an elevated smart home experience!
